Why Donate? ​

The funds from the school district cover the basic educational needs of our students. The Elevate High Lakes Fund covers the things for our children that go beyond district funding, namely:

• Field trips to expose our children to new experiences in our community, such as attending the theatre, hiking at Mt. Bachelor, exploring the Sunriver Nature Center, and so much more! 

• Family events like the Back to School Picnic, Cookies at Compass, the High Lakes Hoedown, STEAM Night, Screen-Free Week and more to bring our High Lakes community together.

• The ​Mystery Science curriculum, an innovative, hands-on science curriculum to instill a love of the sciences in our children.

• Library resources to help instill a love of reading in our children, as well as covering registration for the Oregon Battle of the Books! 

• Grants to teachers for classroom suppiles or special projects, such as getting costumes for a school play.

• Special equipment for the school, such as new playground equipment, the "learniture" furniture in our Lakes, etc.​

• Our Artist in Residence Program which provides art education to our students throughout the school year.

• Critical support for our Family Access Network families, to ensure that no child at our school does not have access to weather-appropriate clothing, food or even shelter.

• Supports our Buddy School, Ensworth Elementary, which does not have a PTO, by helping fund school events, field trips, and supplemental classroom supplies. ​​

100% of your gift is tax-deductible and will have a direct and lasting impact on our school community. Last year, because of the funds raised by our families and business community, every class went on at least one field trip. There are schools in our district where this is not the case and we are grateful for all the donations that enable our children to get out of the classroom and have unique experiences in Central Oregon. ​​
